Located in a traditional Alpine chalet tended by a family of husband-and-wife restaurateurs that actually live above the first floor restaurant, Bumanns Chesa Pirani is an acclaimed St. Moritz dining institution situated within a series of interconnecting parlor rooms lined in knotty wood paneling and matching wood coffer ceiling. Service is purely white-glove for the acclaimed menu served only during winter high season and then closed for the remained of the year.
The Food
A choice of two prix-fixe menu include six of seven courses including dishes of elaborate presentation of seared scallops with lobster and fennel, house-smoked salmon, local beef and variations of fillet of sole and halibut. Plan on no less than two-hours for the longer of the tasting menus.
